A. Murray Cornelius entered the Army from Butler, PA. He was in the Army Air Forces Band, playing tuba. He was a graduate of the Army Music School Bandleader course at Fort Myer, Virginia. He was an arranger, musician, Drill Sergeant, and Sergeant Major of the Army Air Forces Band. He was in the service from 1942-1945.
